Rob Maver
Rob Maver (born March 12, 1986) is a former professional Canadian football Punter, having played his entire 10-year football career with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was drafted fifth overall by the Stampeders in the 2010 CFL Draft, after being highly ranked by the CFL's Amateur Scouting Bureau. He played Canadian Interuniversity Sport football for the Guelph Gryphons. He played high school football for Turner Fenton Trojans. College career Maver attended University of Guelph where he played university football for the Guelph Gryphons as the team's placekicker and punter from 2006-2009. He earned OUA All-star honours for both positions for the 2009 season. Maver also played in the 2009 CIS East-West game and finished in eighth place on the CIS all-time field goals list with 54. In gridiron football, the placekicker (PK), or simply kicker (K), is the player responsible for attempts at scoring Field goal (football), field goals and extra points. In gridiron football, defensive backs (DBs), also called the secondary, are the players on the defensive side of the ball who play farthest back from the line of scrimmage. Grant Shaw
Grant Shaw (born August 3, 1984) is a former professional Canadian football placekicker and punter. He was drafted eleventh overall by the Toronto Argonauts in the 2010 CFL Draft and signed with the team on May 22, 2010. He played college football for the Saskatchewan Huskies football team, where he was named a Canada West All-Star for playing defensive back in 2009. Professional career Shaw began his rookie season with the Argonauts as the team's starting placekicker before being replaced by Justin Medlock and later Noel Prefontaine due to inaccuracy. Shaw remained on the Argonauts roster for the rest of the season as a backup kicker, punter and linebacker and coverage man on special teams. CFL Evaluation Camp
The CFL Combine (formerly known as the Evaluation Camp or E-Camp) is a three-day program in which athletes from Canadian universities and Canadians in the NCAA are scouted by general managers, coaches and scouts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). The goal of the camp is for the nine CFL franchises to have a better idea of whom they would like to draft in the CFL draft which usually takes place roughly six weeks after the camp. The first combined Evaluation Camp took place in 2000 in Toronto and continued every year in Toronto until 2016 when it was announced that Regina would host the combine in 2017.
