Rob Jones (cricketer)
Robert Peter Jones (born 3 November 1995) is an English cricketer who plays for Lancashire County Cricket Club. He is a right-handed batsman who also bowls right-arm leg spin. He made his first-class debut for Lancashire, on 23 August 2016, against Surrey. He made his Twenty20 cricket debut for Lancashire in the 2017 NatWest t20 Blast on 16 August 2017. Warrington
Warrington () is a town and unparished area in the Borough of Warrington, borough of the same name in the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England, on the banks of the River Mersey. It is east of Liverpool, and west of Manchester. In cricket, batting is the act or skill of hitting the ball with a bat to score runs and prevent the loss of one's wicket. 2018 Royal London One-Day Cup
The 2018 Royal London One-Day Cup tournament was a limited overs cricket competition that formed part of the 2018 domestic cricket season in England and Wales. Matches were contested over 50 overs per side and have List A cricket status. All 18 first-class counties competed in the tournament, which ran from the middle of May until the end of June, when the final took place at Lord's. Nottinghamshire were the defending champions of the tournament, having beaten Surrey in 2017 final. Format The competition featured two groups of nine teams, based on a rough North–South geographical split. Leg Spin
Leg spin is a type of spin bowling in cricket. A leg spinner bowls right-arm with a wrist spin action. The leg spinner's normal delivery causes the ball to spin from right to left (from the bowler's perspective) when the ball bounces on the pitch. For a right-handed batsman, that is away from the leg side, and this is where it gets the name leg break. Leg spinners bowl mostly leg breaks, varying them by adjusting the line and length, and amount of side spin versus topspin of the deliveries. Leg spinners also typically use variations of flight by sometimes looping the ball in the air, allowing any cross-breeze and the aerodynamic effects of the spinning ball to cause the ball to dip and drift before bouncing and spinning or "turning", sharply. Twenty20
Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the county cricket, inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 over (cricket), overs. Together with first-class cricket, first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three current forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being at the highest international or domestic level. A typical Twenty20 game is completed in about two and a half hours, with each innings lasting around 70 minutes and an official 10-minute break between the innings.
