Robert Hammond aka Bob Hammond is an author, film producer, public speaker and occasional actor. He is the author of ''Ready When You Are: Cecil B. DeMille’s Ten Commandments for Success'', ''Life After Debt'' and ''Repair Your Own Credit''. Background In addition to speaking publicly, Hammond is also a consumer advocate. He has been featured on numerous radio and television in the United States discussing matters relating to debt and financial management. Robert Hammond (December 29, 1920 – April 16, 2009) earned a BA from the University of Rochester (1942), and both an MA (1947) and PhD (1952) from Yale University. He was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to France (1949-1950) along with numerous other honors, fellowships and grants. Hammond was an instructor, and then professor of French at the University of Arizona (1953-1967). He later was professor of French at Harvard University (1965-1966), and a visiting professor of French Literature and Cinema at Wells College in Aurora, NY (1967-1968). From 1968, Hammond taught at SUNY-Cortland, where he also served as chair of the International Communications and Culture Department. Upon his retirement in 1988 he moved to Paris, France. Robert Hanna Hammond (April 28, 1791 – June 2, 1847) was an American politician who served two terms as a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania from 1837 to 1841. Biography Robert Hanna Hammond was born in Milton, Pennsylvania. He was a member of the state militia, with the rank of brigadier general. Robert Hammond (born 1981) is an Australian field hockey player from Queensland. He has played hockey on the state level. He has been a consistent member of the Australia men's national field hockey team. He was with the team when they won a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. He is competing for a spot on the team to represent the country at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He was also a member of the team that won a gold medal at the 2010 Men's Hockey Champions Trophy. Bob Hammond
Robert Allen Hammond (16 February 1942 – 30 May 2020) was an Australian rules footballer who played for North Adelaide and Norwood in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) during the 1960s and early 1970s. He later served as coach of the Sydney Swans in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Hammond played his early football at Kilburn before being recruited to North Adelaide. He took a while to break into the senior side but when he did in 1960 he was a member of their premiership team. A key defender, he also participated in North Adelaide's premiership years of 1971/72 and played in the club's 1972 Championship of Australia win. While at North Adelaide he represented South Australia at interstate level in a win over Victoria in 1963, one of eight times that he would appear for his state. Robert Samuel Hammond (1 September 1905 – 2 March 1993) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Hawthorn and St Kilda in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Family The son of William Hammond (1879-1908) and Sarah Jane Hammond (1873-1958), nee Johnson, Robert Samuel Hammond was born at Benalla on 1 September 1905. His older brother, Joe Hammond, also played VFL football with Essendon. Hammond married Mary Irene Folvig (1915–1999) on 20 Jan 1938 at Broadford. Football Hammond joined Hawthorn from Broadford at the start of the 1927 VFL season and played eleven games at centre half back before injury put an end to his season. Robert Hammond (1621 – 24 October 1654) was an officer in the New Model Army under Oliver Cromwell during the First English Civil War and a politician who sat in the House of Commons in 1654. He is best known for his year-long role in keeping Charles I of England in custody. Robert C Hammond (sternwheeler)
The Robert C Hammond was the last sternwheeler built for service on the upper Fraser and Nechako Rivers. She was owned by the Fort George Lake and River Transportation Company, a partnership of George Hammond and his brother. She was launched at the Central Fort George town-site of Fort George on May 22, 1913. She was built so that George Hammond, the promoter of Central Fort George, could claim that his community had steamer service. Central Fort George was on the Nechako River and the large sternwheelers owned by the BC Express Company, despite a $50 per trip inducement, could rarely call there, as there often were sandbars unless the water was very high. The rival sternwheelers of the South Fort George town-site owned by the Fort George Lumber and Navigation Company were not interested in helping George Hammond promote Central.
