Rob Daum
Robert "Rob" Daum (born January 19, 1958) is a Canadian ice hockey coach. He is currently the head coach for EC GRAND Immo VSV of the Austrian ICE Hockey League. Career A 1983 graduate of the University of Alberta, Daum coached at the junior level in Alberta and Saskatchewan and was the head coach of the Nipawin Hawks in the 1980s, before working in different positions (head coach, assistant coach, general manager) for three teams of the Western Hockey League from 1989 to 1995. In 1995, Daum was named head coach of the University of Alberta men's ice hockey team. During his 10-year-tenure, he guided the Bears to three national championships and was named CIS Coach of the Year twice. Under Daum's tutelage, UAlberta also captured six Canada West championships, Daum was named Canada West Coach of the Year five times. Canadian Interuniversity Sport
U Sports (stylized as U SPORTS) is the national sport governing body of university sport in Canada, comprising the majority of degree-granting universities in the country. The 2014 Men's Ice Hockey World Championships was the 78th such event organised by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Teams participated at six levels of competition. The competition also served as qualifications for division placements in the 2015 competition. 2013 IIHF World Championship
The 2013 IIHF World Championship was the 77th event hosted by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), held in Stockholm, Sweden and Helsinki, Finland, between 3–19 May 2013. TV4 and MTV3 served as host broadcasters of the event. The host team Sweden won the team's ninth title in history by defeating Switzerland in the final 5–1, and became the first host team to win the tournament since the Soviet Union team won the 1986 World Championship in Moscow, Soviet Union. The Swedish team started the tournament with an unconvincing performance but managed to get a collective boost when the Sedin brothers joined the team after the Vancouver Canucks had been eliminated in the Stanley Cup playoffs. 2012 IIHF World Championship Division I
The 2012 IIHF World Championship Division I was an international Ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Group A was contested in Ljubljana, Slovenia and Group B was contested in Krynica, Poland with both tournaments running from 15–21 April 2012. In Group A both Austria and Slovenia were promoted back to the highest level after being relegated from there in 2011. Ukraine was relegated despite winning their final game against Japan. The Japanese, returning to play after a one-year absence, finished fourth attaining an overall placement of 20th. This is the highest they have placed since being relegated to this level in 2004 when the Asian qualifiers for the world championships ceased. Jari Pasanen
Jari Pasanen (born August 19, 1964 in Imatra, Finland) is a Finnish-German professional ice hockey coach, who last served as head coach of the Iserlohn Roosters of the German top-flight Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Playing career Pasanen played for his hometown team Imatran Ketterä until 1993 and then spent a single season in the United States, splitting the 1993-94 campaign between CoHL’s Muskegon Fury and SuHL sides West Palm Beach Blaze and Daytona Beach Sun Devils. He then moved to Germany, where he played three years at EC Wedemark, including one year (96-97) in the top-flight Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) and a total of five years at minor league teams EC Wilhelmshaven-Stickhausen, ESC Erfurt and ERV Schweinfurt. The Deutsche Eishockey Liga (for sponsorship reasons called "PENNY Deutsche Eishockey Liga") (; English: ''German Ice Hockey League'') or DEL, is a German professional ice hockey league and the highest division in German ice hockey. Iserlohn Roosters
The Iserlohn Roosters are a professional ice hockey team based in Iserlohn, North Rhine-Westphalia. They are members of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) since 2000 and play their home games at the Eissporthalle Iserlohn which is also known as ''Eissporthalle am Seilersee''. The team made the playoffs three times in its first 15 seasons in the DEL.
