''Rob'' (stylized as ''¡Rob!'') is an American sitcom television series that premiered on CBS on January 12, 2012, at as a mid-season replacement for '' Rules of Engagement'', and ended on March 1, 2012. The series stars Rob Schneider alongside Cheech Marin, Claudia Bassols, Diana Maria Riva, Eugenio Derbez, Ricky Rico, and Lupe Ontiveros. The show was produced by ''Two and a Half Men''s The Tannenbaum Company and CBS Productions. On May 13, 2012, CBS canceled the series after one season. Synopsis The series follows Rob (Rob Schneider), a former lifelong bachelor and landscape architect with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, who marries into a tight-knit Mexican American family and attempts to be closer to them, often ending in disastrous results despite his good intentions. Eugenio González Derbez (; born September 2, 1961) is a Mexican actor and comedian. He has appeared in many films and television series, including '' The Book of Life'', ''The Angry Birds Movie 2'', and '' CODA''. Diana Maria Riva is an American actress, known for her performances on television. James Landower Widdoes (born November 15, 1953, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), sometimes billed as Jamie Widdoes, is an American actor and television director. Early life Widdoes graduated from The Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, Connecticut, in 1972, and is a member of their board of trustees. It was a part of Nexstar Media Group's Zap2it television news/listings site. History An Internet and statistical analyst, Robert Seidman had previously worked for IBM and Charles Schwab, and published an online newsletter about the Internet and AOL before founding TV by the Numbers; Bill Gorman had been an AOL executive until 1998, and had read Seidman's column.
