Road Runner Express (Fiesta Texas)
Road Runner Express is a steel roller coaster located at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, Texas. It was built for the park's 1997 season and is the last mine train roller coaster ever to be built by Arrow Dynamics in a Six Flags theme park. In contrast to most of the similarly named Road Runner Express coasters at Six Flags parks, Fiesta Texas' version is not a junior coaster, but a full-scale, though not extreme, family roller coaster. The target audience for the ride is families. Alan Schilke
Alan Schilke (, ) is an American engineer and roller coaster designer based in Hayden, Idaho, United States. He first made his mark on the industry by designing the 4th Dimension roller coaster, X2 (roller coaster), X2, while working with Arrow Dynamics. Schilke now works as a design engineer at Ride Centerline LLC and occasionally works with Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC). Education Schilke got his bachelor's degree in civil engineering at Purdue University. Career Schilke worked with Arrow Dynamics for many years working his way up to the role of head engineer. During his time at Arrow Dynamics, Schilke was credited as the designer of Road Runner Express (Six Flags Fiesta Texas), Road Runner Express at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Tennessee Tornado at Dollywood. Six Flags Fiesta Texas, formerly known and colloquially referred to as simply Fiesta Texas, is an amusement park in San Antonio, Texas, United States. It opened on March 14, 1992, in the La Cantera master-planned development and district as the first business in that development. Spanning , the park was originally built to become a destination musical show park with its focus on the musical culture of the state of Texas. The park was purchased by Time Warner in 1995, and branded as a Six Flags park for the 1996 season.
