Kharanaq
Kharanaq ( fa, خرانق, also Romanized as Kharānaq, Kharāneq, and Kharānoq; also known as Khowrāneq, ((means land of sun)) Khurūnaq or Kharanagh) is a village located 70 km north of Yazd in Rabatat Rural District, Kharanaq District, Ardakan County, Yazd Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 433, in 133 families. The town and its minaret have become a minor tourist attraction. Kharanaq, which was known as a world and historical village, was introduced as the 23rd city of Yazd province on July 6, 2020. This 4500-year-old city is surrounded by mountains on one side and desert from the other. Damghan
Damghan ( fa, دامغان, translit=Dāmghān) is the capital of Damghan County, Semnan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 57,331, in 15,849 families. It is situated east of Tehran on the high-road to Mashad, at an elevation of . It is one of the oldest cities on the Iranian plateau, stretching back 7,000 years, and boasts many sites of historic interest. Khur
The Indian wild ass (''Equus hemionus khur''), also called the Indian onager or, in the local Gujarati language, Ghudkhur and Khur, is a subspecies of the onager native to South Asia. It is currently listed as Near Threatened by IUCN. The previous census in 2009 estimated a population of 4,038 Indian wild asses. However, the population was still growing. In December 2014, the population was estimated at 4,451 individuals. As of 2015, the current Indian wild ass population has increased to around 4800 individuals in and outside of the Wild Ass Wildlife Sanctuary of India.
