Rizan Naizer
Marian Rizan (born 29 October 1966) is a retired Romanian artistic gymnast. He competed at the 1988 and 1992 Olympics with the best individual result of 9th place on the pommel horse in 1988. He placed third in this event at the 1987 European and fourth at the 1989 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Rizan retired from competitions around 1991 to become a gymnastics coach and trained the Romanian national team from 1994 to 1996. The European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships are an annual series of artistic gymnastics championships for male gymnasts from European countries organised by the European Union of Gymnastics. Pommel Horse
The pommel horse is an artistic gymnastics apparatus. Traditionally, it is used by only male gymnasts. Originally made of a metal frame with a wooden body and a leather cover, the modern pommel horse has a metal body covered with foam rubber and leather, with plastic handles (or pommels). The 25th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships were held in Stuttgart, West Germany, in 1989 from October 14 to October 22. The scoring rule ''New Life'' was introduced. This meant that gymnasts' scores were not carried over to the all-around and the event finals from the team competition.
