Rivermead Golf Club
Rivermead Golf Club is a private, 18 hole golf club in Aylmer, Quebec (now part of Gatineau). It is located 10 minutes from downtown Gatineau/Ottawa and is one of the oldest clubs in the National Capital Region. In 2010, the club celebrated its centennial anniversary. History Rivermead Golf Club was established in 1910 and opened in 1911 as a nine-hole course, under the direction of architect Charles Murray. The course was expanded to 18 holes in 1915 following the purchase of additional land in 1912. George Cumming directed the expansion. Aylmer is a List of former municipalities in Quebec, former city in Quebec, Canada. It is located on the north shore of the Ottawa River and along Quebec Route 148, Route 148. The Royal Canadian Golf Association (RCGA), branded as Golf Canada, is the governing body of golf in Canada. Beginnings It was founded as the Canadian Golf Association on June 6, 1895, at the Royal Ottawa Golf Club. Mackenzie Robert Hughes (born November 23, 1990) is a Canadian professional golfer. Early life and amateur career Hughes was born in Hamilton, Ontario. He is a graduate of Kent State University, where he played on the golf team with fellow Canadian PGA Tour pro golfers Taylor Pendrith and Corey Conners. Hughes won the 2011 and 2012 Canadian Amateur Championship. Hughes was the number one Canadian Amateur in 2011. He was a member of Team Canada's National Squad in 2008, 2011, and 2012. Graham Norman DeLaet (born 22 January 1982) is a former Canadian professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour. He currently works as a golf analyst for The Sports Network (TSN) in Canada. Early life and amateur career DeLaet was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan and grew up there and in Moose Jaw. He attended Boise State University where he won ten collegiate tournaments. Christopher Baryla (born October 24, 1982) is a Canadian professional golfer who has played on the Web.com Tour and the PGA Tour. Early life and amateur career Baryla was born in Calgary. He graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso, and turned pro in 2004. Professional career Baryla won his first Nationwide Tour event and first professional event at the 2009 Chattanooga Classic, winning in dramatic fashion. David Geoffrey Hearn (born June 17, 1979) is a Canadian professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He has also played on the Nationwide Tour, Canadian Tour and the Asian Tour. Ken Venturi
Kenneth Paul Venturi (May 15, 1931May 17, 2013) was an American professional golfer and golf broadcaster. In a career shortened by injuries, he won 14 events on the PGA Tour including a major, the U.S. Open in 1964. Shortly before his death in 2013, Venturi was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
