River Road, Oregon
River Road is a census-designated place (CDP) and neighborhood in Eugene. Located in Lane County, Oregon, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. The CDP is in north-central Lane County, on the northwest side of Eugene. It extends from the junction of River Road and the Northwest Expressway in the south to Oregon Route 569, the Randy Papé Beltline, in the north. River Road and the Northwest Expressway form the eastern and western boundaries of the CDP, respectively. Numerous outlying areas belonging to the city of Eugene are scattered throughout the CDP, which is otherwise unincorporated. Lane Community College
Lane Community College is a public community college in Eugene, Oregon, with additional facilities in downtown Eugene, Florence, Cottage Grove, and the Lane Aviation Academy at Eugene Airport. Bethel School District 52
Bethel School District (52) is a school district in the U.S. state of Oregon. It serves the Bethel neighborhood in northwest Eugene. During the 2018–19 school year approximately 5,450 students were enrolled in Bethel's 11 schools, making it the third largest school district in Lane County. Bethel School District was formed in 1948 with the consolidation of the Bethel, Irving, Clear Lake, Danebo, and Malabon school districts. Willamette High School opened in September 1949 with an enrollment of 381. Students in the class of 1950 were WHS's first graduates. Alvadore was the last of six small districts to join Bethel in 1960. Tom Powers served as the first superintendent from 1948 to 1970. The auditorium at Willamette High School is named in his honor. Eugene School District 4J is a public school district in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is one of two school districts that serve the city of Eugene. Demographics Eugene School District 4J spans in the southern Willamette Valley, including the city of Coburg and a small part of Linn County to the north. Oregon Route 569
Oregon Route 569 is an Oregon state highway serving as an outer quarter-loop in Eugene and Springfield. OR 569 comprises part of the Beltline Highway No. 69 (see Oregon highways and routes). It is long and runs east–west. OR 569 is not a complete beltway, though it was originally proposed as such before freeway revolts resulted in the original plan being scrapped. In March 2010, the Oregon Transportation Commission voted to rename the highway from Beltline to Randy Papé Beltway. This name change met much opposition. (See History below.)
