RiverCity Rage
The RiverCity Rage were a professional indoor football team in the Indoor Football League. They played home games at the Family Arena in Saint Charles, Missouri, part of the metropolitan area of St. Louis, Missouri, in past seasons, played in the Scottrade Center in downtown St. Louis in the 2006 season, and returned to the Family Arena for the 2007 UIF season. History The Rage began play in 2001 as the St. Louis Renegades of the Indoor Professional Football League, finishing fourth in the league with a 2–11 record. After the IPFL folded, the team moved to the National Indoor Football League in 2002 and became the River City Renegades. The team finished its first season in the NIFL with a 1–13 record. Saint Charles (commonly abbreviated St. Charles) is a city in, and the county seat of, St. Charles County, Missouri, United States. Xtream Arena
Xtream Arena powered by Mediacom is a multipurpose arena in Coralville, Iowa, that opened in September 2020. The main tenants of the arena are the Iowa Hawkeyes volleyball teams and the professional ice hockey team Iowa Heartlanders of the ECHL. History In 2019, Mediacom was announced as the naming rights partner via its Xtream brand. The city lost its investment-grade bond rating as a result of the project. The Coralville Chaos are a professional indoor football team based in Coralville, Iowa. They currently play their home games at the Xtream Arena in Coralville starting in 2025 as members of American Indoor Football. They were founded in 2023 as the expansion version of the RiverCity Rage. They were set to start in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and play at the Mid-America Center for 2024, however, relocated to Coralville and decided to rebrand as the Chaos. Coralville, Iowa
Coralville is a city in Johnson County, Iowa, United States. It is a suburb of Iowa City and part of the Iowa City Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 22,318 at the 2020 census. History Coralville is the location of the Edgewater Park Site, a 3,800-year-old archaeological site along the Iowa River. Edgewater is the oldest site in Iowa with evidence of domesticated plant use. Coralville incorporated as a city on June 1, 1857. The city's name is derived from the fossils that are found in the limestone along the Iowa River. In 1864, Louis Agassiz, a Harvard University zoologist, gave a lecture at the nearby University of Iowa titled "The Coral Reefs of Iowa City". During the lecture, he presented local samples of fossilized Devonian period coral. The lecture was well received and helped raise public interest in the local fossils. The recent AFL took its identity, history, some of the rulebook and some team names from, but is not directly connected to, the previous iteration of the Arena Football League founded by Jim Foster in 1986. The Iowa Rampage were a professional arena football team based in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They were announced as one of the inaugural teams for the revived Arena Football League (AFL). They were the second official Iowa-based team to play in the league and the first since the Iowa Barnstormers who played off and on in the previous two AFL incarnations from 1995 to 2014 in Des Moines before moving to the Indoor Football League. Mid-America Center
The Mid-America Center is an arena and convention center located in Council Bluffs, Iowa, United States, five minutes from downtown Omaha, Nebraska. The arena's maximum capacity is about 9,000 for concerts and 6,700 for ice hockey and arena football. The arena continues to provide free parking.
