Riva (band)
Riva was a Croatian pop band formed in Zadar in 1986. After forming in 1986, the band appeared on Zagrebfest 1988, Performing with the song "Zadnja Suza" ("Last Tear" in Croatian). Their song " Rock Me" won the Eurovision Song Contest 1989 in Switzerland, with a score of 137 points. Zadar
Zadar ( , ), historically known as Zara (from Venetian and Italian, ; see also other names), is the oldest continuously inhabited city in Croatia. Tatiana (or Tatianna, also romanized as Tatyana, Tatjana, Tatijana, etc.) is a female name of Sabine-Roman origin that became widespread in Eastern Europe. __NOTOC__ Mangup (, , ) also known as ''Mangup Kale'' (''kale'' means "fortress" in Turkish) is a historic fortress in Crimea, located on a plateau about 13 kilometres east of Sevastopol (ancient Chersonesus). Yugoslavia was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 1988 with the song "" , written by Rajko Dujmić and Stevo Cvikić, and performed by Srebrna krila. The Yugoslav participating broadcaster, (JRT), selected its entry through ''1988''. Before Eurovision ''1988'' The Yugoslav national final was held on 12 March 1988 at the Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana, hosted by Miša Molk and Bogdan Barovič. There were originally meant to be 16 songs competing, but "Noć u suzama" performed by Jasna Gospić had to be withdrawn as the singer was ill in hospital. The winning song was chosen by the votes of 8 regional juries. The new voting system introduced in 1987 allowed the juries from each TV studio to be able to vote for their own entries.
