Henry Smithson (born 13 September 1978), best known by his stage name Riton ( ), is an English electronic music DJ and producer from Newcastle upon Tyne. Early life and education Smithson was born in Newcastle upon Tyne. The name ''Riton'' is French slang for "Henry". He graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Career After finishing university, Smithson started the Switch Recordings label, upon which he released his first two 12" singles. He began DJing at Newcastle's "Shindig" nightclub. There, he was discovered by Mark Rae and signed to Grand Central Records independent record label. Like Rae, he then worked in Manchester's Fat City Records label/distribution/retail outlet. His first release on Grand Central, the song "Communicated", featured on the compilation album '' Central Heating 2'' (2000) and was followed by his mostly instrumental debut album, ''Beats du Jour'' (2001). History One of the most successful Bulgarian duets, Riton was founded in 1977 by Katya Mihaylova and Zdravko Jelyaskov. Katya and Zdravko are partners in the real life too. They met in the National Academy of Music. Katya is a singer and plays piano. Duet Riton started singing in Sofia and on the Black Sea. Henri Liebman (born 29 January 1964), known as Riton Liebman, is a Belgian comedian, actor, and director. Career Liebman made his first impression with audiences at age 13, when French director Bertrand Blier discovered him and cast him as Christian in the 1978 film '' Get Out Your Handkerchiefs'', where he is credited simply as Riton. While Liebman said he had strained relations with stars Gérard Depardieu and Patrick Dewaere, Blier defended him during and after filming. Lutfor Rahman Riton
Lutfor Rahman Riton is a Bangladeshi writer of young adult and children's literature. He earned Bangla Academy Literary Award for his contribution to children's literature in 2007. He is best known as a rhymester. Early life and education Riton attended Nawabpur Government High School, Dhaka College and the University of Dhaka. Career Riton's work was first published in the newspaper The Daily Ittefaq. He started writing for adults and young readers in the early 1980s. As a professional writer, he first took up the pen and wrote rhymes against rajakars in 1979. He published a book called ''"Rajakar er Chhora"'' in 1990 which was highly appreciated by readers. Thus far, Riton has more than a hundred books published. He has been honored with numerous awards for his work. Rhyton
A rhyton (plural rhytons or, following the Greek plural, rhyta) is a roughly conical container from which fluids were intended to be drunk or to be poured in some ceremony such as libation, or merely at table. A rhyton is typically formed in the shape of an animal's head. Items were produced over large areas of ancient Eurasia, especially from Persia to the Balkans. Many have an opening at the bottom through which the liquid fell; others did not, and were merely used as drinking cups, with the characteristic that they could not usually be set down on a surface without spilling their contents. The English word ''rhyton'' originates in the ancient Greek word ' (''rhy̆tón ''or'' rhŭtón''). The conical rhyton form has been known in the Aegean region since the Bronze Age, or the 2nd millennium BC. However, it was by no means confined to that region.
