Ritchies Coachlines
Ritchies Transport is a New Zealand private bus operator, owned by KKR. It was established in 1972 and describes itself as "the largest privately owned bus and coach transport operator in New Zealand" with a fleet of over 1500 vehicles spread across depots nationwide. It owns a 46% stake in InterCity. History Richies Coachlines was founded in Temuka in 1937. John Richie ran the company from 1970. Still actively involved, he died in July 2010. In 2014 they invested $18m in a new West Auckland bus depot with 132 buses. On Christmas Eve 2016, a Richies coach crashed on route from Auckland to Guisbourne. Three passengers died and the driver and other passengers were injured. The resulting prosecution by Worksafe NZ resulted in Richies paying a $210,000 fine and $750,000 in reparation to the victims. The Alexander Dennis Enviro200 MMC, also marketed as the Alexander Dennis Enviro200, is a single-decker city bus produced by Alexander Dennis since 2014 as the successor to the Alexander Dennis Enviro200, Enviro200 midibus and Alexander Dennis Enviro300, Enviro300 full-size bus. The Enviro200 MMC is available over a range of lengths, including 8.9 metres, 9.7 metres, 10.8 metres and 11.5/11.8 metres, as an integral twin-axle midibus or full-size bus. Additionally, the 12.7 metre tri-axle Enviro200 XLB is offered in the New Zealand market. Concord is a small residential suburb of the New Zealand city of Dunedin. It is southwest of the city centre. It lay on State Highway 1 until the construction of the Dunedin Southern Motorway in the 1990s, but is now bypassed by traffic from central Dunedin. Pine Hill is a suburb, hill, and general area of the New Zealand city of Dunedin. Shiel Hill
Shiel Hill is a residential suburb of the New Zealand city of Dunedin. It is located at the southeastern edge of the city's urban area, southeast of the city's centre at the western end of the Otago Peninsula, close to the isthmus joining the peninsula to the mainland. As the name suggests, it is situated on the slopes of a hill at the start of the ridge which runs along the spine of the peninsula. The slopes rise to a series of crests generally known collectively as Highcliff, a name also often applied to the last suburban vestiges which remain as Dunedin's urban area becomes the rural land of the peninsula. Opoho
Ōpoho is a suburb of the New Zealand city of Dunedin. It sits on the western flank of Signal Hill, to the northeast of the city centre, overlooking North East Valley and the Dunedin Botanic Gardens. Etymology Ōpoho takes its name from the small stream, Ōpoho Creek (also known as Stony Creek). This stream runs south along the western flank of Signal Hill, past Logan Park High School in Dunedin North, before being diverted through culverts and flowing into the Water of Leith close to it outflow into the Otago Harbour.
