Risløkka (station)
Risløkka is a station on Grorud Line (line 5) on the Oslo Metro. The station lies between Økern and Vollebekk and is situated 6.5 km from Stortinget. The station is among the original stations on the line and was opened ob 16 October 1966. Peer Qvam was the station's architect. The line bridges the local road Risløkkalleen immediately east of the station. To the north of the station is a largely residential area, with several detached houses. To the south is a more industrial area, including the main office for the road construction company Oslo Vei, the successor to Oslo's public road constructor. Grorud Line
The Grorud Line () is a line on the Oslo Metro between Tøyen (station), Tøyen and Vestli (station), Vestli in Oslo, Norway. Built as a mix of underground, at ground level and as an elevated line, it runs through the northern part of Groruddalen, serving such neighborhoods as Grorud, Romsås and Stovner. Line 5 runs along the entire line four times per hour. Line 4 runs between Vestli and Økern before branching off on the Løren Line to get onto the Ring Line (Oslo), Ring Line. With 40,000 daily riders, the Grorud Line is the busiest branch of the metro. Proposals for an urban railway through the upper parts of Groruddalen were first articulated in public documents in 1919. Sporveien Oslo AS is a municipally owned public transport operator in Oslo, Norway. It operates the trackage and maintains the stock of the Oslo Metro and Oslo Tramway. In 2022, its 3,306 employees transported 217 million passengers. Since 2008 it has operated on contract with the public transport authority Ruter. Oslo Metro
The Oslo Metro ( or or simply ) is the rapid transit system of Oslo, Norway, operated by Sporveien T-banen on contract from the transit authority Ruter. The network consists of five lines that all run through the city centre, with a total length of , serving 101 stations of which 17 are underground or indoors. In addition to serving 14 out of the 15 boroughs of Oslo, two lines run to Kolsås and Østerås, in the neighbouring municipality of Bærum. In 2016, the system had an annual ridership of 118 million. Økern is a metro station on the No 5, Grorud Line of the Oslo Metro system, situated between stations Hasle and Risløkka in the lower parts of the Grorud Valley. It is located 2.7 km ( the geodesic distance) northeast of station Stortinget (the Parliament). The station is part of the original stretch of the Grorud Line, and was opened on 16 October 1966. In 2010, the station was refurbished and partly rebuilt. New platforms are fitted with snowmelt systems. Vollebekk is a station on the Grorud Line (line 5) of the Oslo Metro. It is located between the stations of Risløkka and Linderud and is from Stortinget. The station is among the original ones on Grorudbanen, and opened on 10 October 1966. Peer Qvaam was the station's architect. The local road Lunden passes under the station immediately north of the station. There is no major bus connection, although there is a bus stop on the Østre Aker Vei highway to the south. Peer Qvam
Peer Hafslo Qvam (24 December 1911 – 27 July 1977) was a Norwegian architect. He was born at Holmestrand in Vestfold, Norway. He was a son of chemical engineer Olaf Hafslo Qvam (1873–1960) and his wife Sigrid Sørby (1875–1929). He enrolled as a student in 1931, and graduated in architecture from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1936. In 1938 he married Elsa Wik (1913-1981). He first worked for architects Johan Meyer, Dagfinn Morseth and Mads Wiel Gedde. In 1944 he started his own architect's office in Oslo. From 1946 to 1958, Qvam worked in partnership (Engh og Seip Arkitektkontor A/S) with John Engh. Qvam is especially known for his railway station architecture. Qvam and Engh won a contest to design Oslo Central Station in 1946.
