Rishi (2001 Film)
''Rishi'' is a 2001 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by Sundar C. The film stars R. Sarathkumar in a dual role alongside Meena and Sanghavi, while Arun Pandian and Prakash Raj plays the supporting roles. The music was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by U. K. Senthil Kumar, and editing by P. Sai Suresh. The film released on 16 February 2001. The core plot was partially reported to be inspired by the 1989 Hong Kong film '' The Killer''. Plot Rishi is a tough, suave, professional criminal who is the right-hand of Sathya, the underworld kingpin. Ravikumar Menon (1 March 1954 – 4 April 2025) was an Indian actor in Malayalam and Tamil feature films and serials. He acted in more than 100 south Indian films. He played lead roles during the early and late 1970s. He came to the Malayalam film industry through his debut movie '' Ullasa Yaathra'' (1975). Background Ravikumar was born in Thrissur district, Kerala. His debut movie as a hero was '' Ullasa Yaathra'' (1975). Chelladurai (1941 - 7 February 2015) was an Indian comedian who worked in Tamil-language films. He acted in over 350 films. Career Chelladurai made his film debut with '' Thooral Ninnu Pochchu'' (1982). He is known for his comic sequences with actor Vadivelu. He became famous for his role in '' Shree'' (2002) as the owner of a wine shop named Prabha.
