Riot Live (EP)
''Riot Live'' is the first official extended play live recording by New York City heavy metal band Riot. Released in 1982, it followed on the heels of '' Restless Breed'', the group's first studio album with vocalist Rhett Forrester. It was issued with different cover artwork in Europe. While never made available on CD as a stand-alone release, the EP was included as bonus tracks on the 1997 ''Restless Breed'' CD re-issue by German label High Vaultage. However, the 6 songs were left off the original 1999 U.S. ''Restless Breed'' re-issue on Metal Blade Records but were eventually included on the 2016 re-issue, also released by Metal Blade. Mark Reale
Mark Reale (June 7, 1955 – January 25, 2012) was an American guitarist who was the sole consistent and founding member of the heavy metal band Riot (now known as Riot V). Biography Reale was born in Brooklyn, New York City, in 1955. He grew up listening to the Beatles, Eric Clapton, Gary Moore, Ritchie Blackmore and lists George Harrison as one of his greatest influences. After attending concerts by Ronnie Montrose, Rick Derringer and Edgar Winter he decided to become a guitarist, forming the band Riot in 1975 who are still active to the present day. Mark Reale was the principal songwriter and main creative force behind Riot starting with the band's 1977 debut album '' Rock City''. Rhett Forrester
Rhett Forrester (September 22, 1956 – January 22, 1994) was an American musician best known as the lead singer for New York-based band Riot from 1981 until 1984. Biography Forrester was born on September 22, 1956, in Tucker, Georgia. His mother was a ballroom dance instructor. He started to develop his trademark voice in high school, at The Sanford Naval Academy, when he began taking vocal lessons. After graduation, he moved to South Carolina where he began playing in local bands. In the late 1970s, Forrester joined forces with two former members of Illinois act Roller, guitarist Russ Shirley and bassist/vocalist Kevin Lee, and drummer Jim Schroeder, to form Hitman. The band stayed together for about a year, playing around the Georgia State area. Forrester's big break came while he was with a New York cover band named Rachel, when he successfully auditioned to replace the departing Guy Speranza in Riot. Riot V, formerly known as Riot, is an American heavy metal band formed in New York City in 1975 by guitarist Mark Reale. Reaching peak in popularity in the early 1980s, the band has continued a long-running successful career.
