Ringerike Grand Prix
Ringerike Grand Prix is a road bicycle race held annually near Hønefoss, in the region of Ringerike, Norway. The race was created in 1975 as the Fossen Grand Prix, and was ranked 2.2 on the UCI Europe Tour between 2005 and 2010. In 2011 it turned into a one-day race (not UCI race) while Tour of Norway The Tour of Norway is a road bicycle race held annually in Norway. It is considered as a successor to the stage race Ringerike GP, which is now a one-day race. Ringerike is a Municipalities of Norway, municipality in Buskerud Counties of Norway, county, Norway. It is part of the Districts of Norway, traditional region of Ringerike (traditional district), Ringerike. The administrative centre of the municipality is the List of cities in Norway, town of Hønefoss. The municipality of Ringerike was created on 1 January 1964 after the merger of the town of Hønefoss and the rural municipalities of Hole, Norway, Hole, Norderhov, Tyristrand, and Ådal. However, the area of Hole was removed from the municipality of Ringerike on 1 January 1977 to become a separate municipality once again. Saint Piran (cycling Team)
Saint Piran Pro Cycling Team was a British UCI Continental cycling team based in the region of Cornwall in southwest England. It was founded in 2018 with the intent of developing Cornish cycling talent and getting an invitation to the Tour de France within five years as a UCI ProTeam. After three years as an Elite National team, the team moved up to the UCI Continental level in 2021. The team's name was taken from the Cornish abbot Saint Piran. The team's jersey drew inspiration from the Cornish flag and the Cornish tartan, and was unusual in featuring no sponsors. The COVID-19 pandemic in Norway resulted in confirmed cases of COVID-19 and deaths. On 26 February 2020, the virus was confirmed to have spread to Norway. The number of cases increased rapidly during the month of March, prompting a number of legal measures aiming to achieve physical distancing to be introduced on 12 March.
