The following is a list of characters from the manga and anime series ''Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch''. They are grouped according to their roles in the series. Wherever possible, the spelling of the names are taken from the English translation of the Pichi Pichi Pitch manga. Otherwise, spellings are based on those used on official merchandise. Main characters ; : :Lucia is the mermaid princess of the Pacific Ocean, North Pacific Ocean and keeper of the pink pearl. She goes up to land to search for her pearl which she used to save a boy named Kaito seven years ago. Later in the series, Lucia and Kaito become lovers. She is unaware of the danger in the marine world and of her real mission until she is told of them by her "big sister", Nikora. She is characterized by her cheerfulness and upbeatness, but with having a strong will, typical traits of shōjo manga heroines. Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch
is a ''shōjo'' manga and anime series created by Michiko Yokote, with artwork by Pink Hanamori. The manga was originally published in the monthly manga anthology ''Nakayoshi''. Thirty-two chapters have been published (including two special stories) and are compiled into seven volumes by Kodansha. A 91-episode anime series was produced by TV Aichi, divided into two seasons, aired in Japan from April 2003 to December 2004. The first season is composed of 52 episodes, while the second, entitled ''Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch Pure'', lasted for 39. Plot Lucia Nanami, the mermaid princess of the North Pacific Ocean, sets out on land to find the boy that she had saved from a tsunami wave seven years before the beginning of the story, with whom she fell in love and had entrusted her pink pearl. She eventually finds the boy, a teenage surfer named Kaito Dōmoto, but Kaito does not recognize Lucia in her human form. She cannot directly tell Kaito who she really is; other ...
