Rima Valentienė (born June 10, 1978) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player. Valentienė plays for Kauno VIČI-Aistės and Lithuania women's national basketball team. She has represented the Lithuanian national team in several EuroBasket Women competitions. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Generally, point guards are expected to be proficient in passing the ball and being able to get Assist (basketball), assists to teammates. Ukmergė (; previously ''Vilkmergė''; ) is a city in Vilnius County, Lithuania, located northwest of Vilnius. It is the administrative center of the Ukmergė District Municipality. The Lithuania women's national basketball team () represents Lithuania in international women's basketball competitions. They are regulated by the Lithuanian Basketball Federation, the governing body for basketball in Lithuania. The team is currently ranked 31st in the FIBA Women's World Ranking, FIBA World Rankings. EuroBasket Women is a biennial international women's basketball competition held between the nations of FIBA Europe for women's national teams. EuroBasket Women is also used as a qualifying tournament for the FIBA Women's World Cup and also the Olympic Games.
