Rik De Mil
Rik De Mil (born 15 September 1981) is a Belgian professional football manager and former player. As a player, he was a goalkeeper. Coaching career Club Brugge In 2015, De Mil received an offer from Club Brugge to become a youth coach, following the departure of Sven Vermant. He coached Club NXT, the reserve team of Club Brugge, during the side's 2020–21 season in the Belgian First Division B. On 18 February 2021, he replaced Philippe Clement as head coach of Club Brugge in the Europa League round of 32 match against Dynamo Kyiv which ended in a 1–1 draw, during the COVID-19 pandemic. In June 2022, he was replaced as Club NXT coach by Nicky Hayen. Ahead of the 2022–23 season, Club Brugge announced that De Mil would be promoted to the first team, where he became assistant to Carl Hoefkens. Eeklo
Eeklo () is a Belgium, Belgian Municipalities in Belgium, municipality in the Flemish Region, Flemish Provinces of Belgium, province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises only the city of Eeklo proper. The name ''Eeklo'' comes from the contraction of ''eke'' and ''lo'', two Old High German, Old German words meaning 'oak' and 'sparse woods' (compare English ''wikt:Oakley, Oakley''). History Origins and Middle Ages There are not many traces of early habitation in the Eeklo area. It is presumed that some oaks would have attracted the attention of travellers on the Ancient Rome, Roman road that ran along the local sandbar among the marshes. Koninklijke Voetbal Club Westerlo (; often simply called Westerlo) is a Belgian professional football club located in the municipality of Westerlo in the province of Antwerp. Since 1997–98, Westerlo has been mostly playing in the Belgian Pro League, save for a short stint in the Belgian Second Division between 2012 and 2014. Their highest finish is a 6th place in 1999–00, 2003–04 and 2008–09. They have won one Belgian Cup. 2023–24 Belgian Pro League
The 2023–24 Belgian Pro League (officially known as the Jupiler Pro League due to sponsorship reasons) was the 121st season of top-tier football in Belgium. Club Brugge were crowned champions for the 19th time in their history having come back from fourth at the start of the title play-offs. For the second time in three seasons, Union Saint-Gilloise finished top at the end of the regular season, but did not win the league. Format change After 3 seasons, the Belgian Pro League returned to the "old" format, featuring the number of teams reduced from 18 to 16, and with similar play-offs as it was pre-COVID-19.
