Riize (group)
Riize (; stylized in all caps; pronounced as "Rise") is a South Korean boy band formed by SM Entertainment. The group consists of six members: Shotaro, Eunseok, Sungchan, Wonbin, Sohee, and Anton. Originally a seven-piece ensemble, Seunghan departed from the group in October 2024. They debuted on September 4, 2023, with the single album ''Get a Guitar''. Name The group's name, Riize, is a name created by combining "Rise", which means "growth", and "Realize", which means "a team that grows together and realizes dreams". History Pre-debut activities Members Shotaro and Sungchan previously debuted in SM's boy group, NCT, being unveiled as part of the lineup in October 2020. On July 1, 2022, SM Entertainment introduced Shohei, Eunseok, and Seunghan as part of their SM Rookies lineup. ''M Countdown'' () is a South Korean music program broadcast by Mnet from the CJ E&M Center Studio in Sangam-dong, Mapo District, Seoul. It features appearances by popular music artists who also perform live on stage. First hosted by Leeteuk, Shindong, and Kangin of Super Junior, the show has had various celebrity emcees through the years. As of March 2025, ''M Countdown'' is hosted by Sung Han-bin of Zerobaseone and Myung Jae-hyun of BoyNextDoor. Broadcast ''M Countdown'' airs live on domestic television at 6PM KST every Thursday. KCON is an annual convention held in locations across the world, created by Koreaboo and organized by CJ ENM Entertainment Division. It was first held in Southern California in 2012 and has since expanded to ten countries as of 2022. In 2015, KCON expanded to Japan and then quickly announced the first KCON USA on the East Coast of the United States, East Coast. "Siren" is a song recorded by South Korean boy band Riize. Originally released in shortened form on August 6, 2023, and the full version of the song was later released on April 3, 2024, as the third single and second track from the group's EP '' Riizing''. It was released by SM Entertainment and distributed by Kakao Entertainment and RCA Records. The full version of the song was re-recorded without the participation of member Seunghan, who was on hiatus from the group at the time of its release and departed the group in October 2024. Lee Yoon-sang (; born 11 May 1968), known professionally as Yoon Sang, is a South Korean composer, record producer, singer and songwriter.
