Rigoberto Esparza Morales (born 16 November 1983) is a Mexican football manager, who was the manager of the Liga MX Femenil club Atlético de San Luis Femenil. He is a former professional footballer, who played as a midfielder. Career Esparza began his career with Toluca and their farm team Atlético Mexiquense. The Liga MX Femenil, officially known as the Liga BBVA MX Femenil for sponsorship reasons, is the highest division of women's football in Mexico. Supervised by the Mexican Football Federation, this professional league has 18 teams, each coinciding with a Liga MX team. Following the same schedule as the men's league, each season has two halves: an Apertura tournament, which takes place from July to December, and a Clausura tournament, which takes place from January to May. Académicos de Atlas was a reserve team of Atlas, in 2005-06 season known as Coyotes de Sonora. History In 2004–05 Segunda División de México season, Académicos won the opening and closing champion of group Liguilla de Ascenso and promoted to Ascenso MX. The club was renamed to Coyotes and re-located to Hermosillo, Sonora, but remained as part of Atlas. After a season, the club changed the name back to Académicos. Ascenso MX was the second tier of professional football in Mexico of the Mexican football league system. The champion of the competition was promoted to Liga MX (top-flight tier). The bottom team was relegated to Liga Premier (the third tier). It was sponsored by BBVA through its Mexican subsidiary BBVA, and was officially known as Ascenso BBVA MX.
