Righteous Vendetta is an American metalcore band that originated in Cody, Wyoming. Background Righteous Vendetta was formed in 2008 at Northwest Community College in Powell, Wyoming by Ryan Hayes (vocals), Zach Paris (drums) and Derek Workman (Electric Guitar), all formerly of the band "Silent Awakening" in Cody, Wyoming. The band has played shows with acts such as P.O.D., Skillet, Red, and Taproot. The band was signed to Red Cord Records Red Cord Records is an American record label from Rockford, Illinois. The label started in September 2008, but went on hiatus in 2014. The label signed bands including Phinehas, Random Hero, Inhale Exhale, and Bloodline Severed. Cody is a city in Northwest Wyoming and the seat of government of Park County, Wyoming, United States. It is named after Colonel William Frederick " Buffalo Bill" Cody for his part in the founding of Cody in 1896. The population was 10,066 at the 2020 census. Cody is served by Yellowstone Regional Airport. Geography Cody is located at (44.523244, −109.057109). An independent record label (or indie label) is a record label that operates without the funding or distribution of major record labels; they are a type of small- to medium-sized enterprise, or SME. The labels and artists are often represented by trade associations in their country or region, which in turn are represented by the international trade body, the Worldwide Independent Network (WIN). In sound and music, sampling is the reuse of a portion (or sample) of a sound recording in another recording. Samples may comprise elements such as rhythm, melody, speech, sounds or entire bars of music, and may be layered, equalized, sped up or slowed down, repitched, looped, or otherwise manipulated. They are usually integrated using hardware ( samplers) or software such as digital audio workstations. A process similar to sampling originated in the 1940s with ''musique concrète'', experimental music created by splicing and looping tape. Love and Death is an American Christian metal band formed by Korn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch. The group was officially announced in February 2012 as a re-branding of Welch's solo music project. History Formation and early years (2009–2012) The group is effectively a re-branding of the touring group that performed under Welch's name to promote his solo album. Formed in 2009, Welch recruited musicians through open auditions via YouTube, and second-round auditions, in person, at his studio in Phoenix, Arizona. Messer is an American hard rock musical ensemble from Dallas, Texas. Started in 2009, the ensemble has released three singles, including "Simple Man", "Whiskey" and "Make This Life" in addition to their self-titled debut studio album. History Beginnings (2009–2013) During lead vocalist Dereak Messer's high-school career in Iowa, he performed with local bands. After high school, the singer moved to Dallas to engage in a professional music career. Upon Dereak's move to Texas, he met Javier Contreras, who performed in bands named Mudflap and Pimpadelic.
