Kevin Rigdon
Kevin Rigdon (born February 17, 1956, in Pontiac, Michigan, United States) is a scenic designer, lighting designer. He teaches at the University of Houston, and is the Associate Director/Design for Houston ’s Alley Theatre. Life Rigdon's career in theatre began in 1974, when he joined classmates Gary Sinise and Jeff Perry as the resident designer for the newly formed Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Since then, Rigdon has designed over 345 productions including several productions for Broadway, Alley Theatre, and several other theaters around the world. Rigdon has been honored with two Tony Award nominations, seven Joseph Jefferson Awards, four Drama Desk Awards, 1986; 1990 American Theatre Wing Design Awards, and a Drama-Logue Award. Sidney Rigdon
Sidney Rigdon (February 19, 1793 – July 14, 1876) was a leader during the early history of the Latter Day Saint movement. Biography Early life Rigdon was born in St. Clair Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, on February 19, 1793. He was the youngest of four children of William and Nancy Rigdon. Rigdon's father was a farmer and a native of Harford County, Maryland. He died in 1810. According to an account by his son John M. Rigdon, young Rigdon Rigdon remained on the farm until his mother sold it in 1818. Baptist ministry and tanner On May 31, 1817, Rigdon was baptized by Rev. Phillips, and he became a member of the Peter's Creek Baptist Church of Library, Pennsylvania. In 1818, Rigdon moved to North Sewickley to become an apprentice to Baptist minister Rev. Andrew Clark. Rigdon is an unincorporated community in Grant and Madison counties, Indiana, United States. History Rigdon was named for Dr. Pryor Rigdon, a local resident. The community had a post office between 1855 and 1912. Geography Rigdon is located on the Grant and Madison County line. It sits at the quadripoint of four townships: Green and Liberty townships in Grant County, comprising the northern half of the community, and Duck Creek and Boone townships in Madison County, covering the southern half of the community.
