Riddu Riđđu () is an annual Sámi music and culture festival held in Olmmáivággi (Manndalen) in the Gáivuotna Municipality (also known as KÃ¥fjord Municipality) in Norway. The goal of the festival is to bring forward both Sámi culture and that of other indigenous peoples. Translated to English, the name of the festival is "small storm at the coast". The festival has permanent support from the Ministry of Culture and Church Affairs, the Sámi parliament, Troms county and KÃ¥fjord municipality. Riddu Riđđu includes concerts, seminars, performances, youth camp, stage art, literature, children's program, Northern People's program, youth camp, film program, courses (workshops), art exhibition, market (bazaar), indigenous houses and much more. Sator is a Swedish rock band. The band was founded in Borlänge as Sator Codex in 1981. Hekla StÃ¥lstrenga is a Norwegian folk and folk rock band specializing in North Norwegian traditional music. It was formed in 2008 as a duo by fiddler Ragnhild Furebotten and guitarist Tore Bruvoll. They had their first recording as a duo, for which they were nominated during Spellemannprisen, the Norwegian Grammies, for "Best folk music band". They later on added lead vocalist Anne Nymo Trulsen, drummer Ole-Jakob Larsen and acoustic bassist Trond-Viggo Solas to become a five-member band. Tamikrest is a Malian rock band formed in 2006 in Tinzaouaten, Tinzawaten, a town on the border between Algeria and Mali, by Ousmane Ag Mossa, Cheikh Ag Tiglia, and Aghaly Ag Mohamedine. Influenced by the musical heritage of Tinariwen and motivated by the desire to give a stronger voice to the Kel Tamasheq (Tuareg people, Tuareg) people, the group quickly gained recognition.
