Richie Regehr
Richard Regehr (born January 17, 1983) is an Indonesian-born Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. Regehr's older brother is former Stanley Cup-winning defenceman Robyn Regehr. Early life Regehr was born in Bandung, Indonesia to Canadian Mennonite missionaries. They later returned to Canada where he grew up in Rosthern, Saskatchewan. Playing career Regehr was signed as a free agent on July 6, 2004, as an undrafted player by the Calgary Flames, the team where his brother Robyn was playing. During the 2004–05 NHL lockout Richie Regehr played for the Lowell Lock Monsters, who were the American Hockey League affiliate of the Flames. In the 2005–06 season, he was sent to the Flames' new farm team, Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights. After injuries to defencemen Rhett Warrener and Roman Hamrlík late in 2005, Regehr was called up to the Flames. Modo Hockey
Modo Hockey (or MoDo with uppercase letters) is a professional ice hockey club in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. The team currently plays in Sweden's second-tier league HockeyAllsvenskan after losing to HV71 after the play out following the 2024/25 season. The club was founded in 1987 and has won one title, the SHL championships, in 2007. The team's home arena since 2006 is the Hägglunds Arena (previously known as ''Fjällräven Center'' and ''Swedbank Arena''). Before then, the team played at Kempehallen, beginning in 1964. The Deutsche Eishockey Liga (for sponsorship reasons called Penny (supermarket), PENNY Deutsche Eishockey Liga) (; English: ''German Ice Hockey League'') or DEL, is a professional ice hockey league in Germany and the highest division in German ice hockey. Mark Giordano
Mark Giordano (; born October 3, 1983) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who is currently retired. He most recently played for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League (NHL). He previously played with the Calgary Flames for fifteen seasons, where he was the team captain for his final eight seasons, and the Seattle Kraken, where he served as captain during the first six months of their inaugural season. An undrafted player, Giordano signed with the Flames as a free agent in 2004 after playing two seasons of major junior ice hockey with Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Roman Hamrlík
Roman Hamrlík (born April 12, 1974) is a Czech former professional ice hockey defenceman who played 20 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was originally selected first overall in the 1992 NHL entry draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning, the first-ever selection by the expansion franchise, beginning his career with the team and later playing for the Edmonton Oilers, New York Islanders, Calgary Flames, Montreal Canadiens, Washington Capitals, and New York Rangers. In total, he played 1,395 games during his NHL career and participated in three NHL All-Star Games, in 1996, 1999, and 2003. Rhett Warrener
Rhett Adam Warrener (born January 27, 1976) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played over 700 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Florida Panthers, Buffalo Sabres and Calgary Flames between 1995 and 2008. He was a member of the Canadian national junior team that won a gold medal at the 1996 World Junior Championship. Warrener retired in 2009 after missing a full season due to a shoulder injury. He briefly remained with the Flames as a scout before turning to broadcasting. Warrener was born in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, but grew up in Frontier, Saskatchewan. The Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League. They played in Omaha, Nebraska, United States at the Omaha Civic Auditorium from 2005–2007. Following the 2006–07 season, the Calgary Flames announced that the team would relocate to the Quad Cities for 2007–08.
