Richard Ureña
Richard Ureña Castillo (born February 26, 1996) is a Dominican professional baseball shortstop who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Toronto Blue Jays. Professional career Toronto Blue Jays Ureña was signed as an international free agent by the Blue Jays for $725,000 in 2012, and played his first professional season split between the Dominican Summer League Blue Jays and Gulf Coast League Blue Jays. In 64 games with the DSL Blue Jays, he batted .296 with one home run and 35 runs batted in (RBI). He then played seven games in the Gulf Coast League, batting .333 with three RBI. Ureña was promoted to the Rookie Advanced Bluefield Blue Jays of the Appalachian League for the start of the 2014 season, and recorded a 28-game streak of reaching base safely. Shortstop, abbreviated SS, is the baseball positions, baseball or softball fielding position between second base, second and third base, which is considered to be among the Defensive spectrum, most demanding defensive positions. Bluefield Blue Jays
The Bluefield Blue Jays were a minor league baseball team of the Rookie Appalachian League representing the twin cities of Bluefield, West Virginia, and Bluefield, Virginia. The team played their home games at Bowen Field at Peters Park, a historic stadium (opened in 1939) in Bluefield's city park. The park, which straddles the West Virginia–Virginia state line, was operated by the West Virginia city; however, Bowen Field lies entirely within Virginia. Upon the minor league reorganization in 2020, the team's partnership with the Toronto Blue Jays ended and they were reorganized as the Bluefield Ridge Runners. Florida State League
The Florida State League (FSL) is a Minor League Baseball league based in the state of Florida. Having been classified at various levels throughout its existence, it operated at Class A-Advanced from 1990 until its demotion to Single-A following Major League Baseball's 2021 reorganization of the minor leagues. The league temporarily operated for the 2021 season as the Low-A Southeast before reassuming its original moniker in 2022. Each league member is affiliated with a Major League Baseball (MLB) team, and most play in their affiliate's spring training facility. Scott Kingery
Scott Michael Kingery (born April 29, 1994) is an American professional baseball utility player for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball (MLB). The Philadelphia Phillies selected Kingery in the second round, 48th overall, of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft, 2015 MLB draft, and he played with them from 2018 to 2022. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Kingery's baseball career began with a trip to the 2006 Little League World Series. From there, he attended Mountain Pointe High School, where college recruiters overlooked his skill at shortstop due to his small frame.
