Richard Rozendaal
Richard Cornelis Jacobus Rozendaal (born 6 April 1972) is a Dutch former track cyclist who competed for the Netherlands at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Born in Warmenhuizen, Rozendaal won three Dutch national championship: two in the points race event (1994 and 1997) and the 1997 individual pursuit. He competed in the men's team pursuit together with Robert Slippens, Jarich Bakker and Peter Schep. In the qualifying round of the event, the Dutch team finished 12th with a time of 4:16.175, and did not qualify for the quarter-finals. Warmenhuizen
Warmenhuizen ( West Frisian: ''Wermehúze'') is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Schagen, and lies about 8 km northwest of Heerhugowaard. An agricultural community. The area surrounding the town produces mainly dairy products, cabbage/potatoes, and hot house flowers. Mainly a Roman Catholic community featuring two churches, an old Protestant one, fallen into disuse, built in 16th century and a more modern Roman Catholic church constructed in the early 20th century. Warmenhuizen was a separate municipality until 1990, when it was merged with Harenkarspel. Harenkarspel merged with Schagen in 2013. Peter Schep
Pieter Otto ("Peter") Schep (born 8 March 1977 in Lopik, Utrecht) is a Dutch former racing cyclist, who specialized in track cycling endurance events. Biography Born in Lopik, Schep represented the Netherlands at the 1996, 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics. In all three occasions he took part in the team pursuit. In 1996 he featured in a team with Jarich Bakker, Richard Rozendaal and Robert Slippens and finished in 12th position. A new team with Slippens, John den Braber, Jens Mouris and Wilco Zuijderwijk was created with success. The team improved their 2000 effort and reached the quarter finals where they were lapped by the team from the Ukraine, resulting in a seventh place overall. Schep and Mouris also qualified for the same discipline in 2004, but this time they were joined by Levi Heimans and Jeroen Straathof. Robert Slippens
Robert Slippens (born 3 May 1975 in Opmeer, North Holland) is a Dutch racing cyclist. Slippens represented the Netherlands at three different Summer Olympics. He made his Olympic debut at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta where he participated in the four kilometer team pursuit alongside Jarich Bakker, Richard Rozendaal and Peter Schep. The team finished in twelfth position. Four years later at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, he took part in the same event, but with different riders. Bakker and Rozendaal were replaced by Jens Mouris, John den Braber, and Wilco Zuijderwijk, while Schep and Slippens stayed. Although the team consisted of five riders, only four were allowed on the track at the same time. They qualified for the quarter finals, where they lost to the Ukrainian team, resulting in a seventh place overall.
