Richard Rowe (9 March 1828 – 9 December 1879) was an English author, also active in Australia. Biography Rowe was born at Spring Gardens, Doncaster, then in the West Riding of Yorkshire, England, the son of Thomas Rowe, a Wesleyan minister. Richard Reynolds Rowe
Richard Reynolds Rowe (5 June 1824 – 21 December 1899) was an English architect and civil engineer, mainly active in Cambridge and Cambridgeshire. His best-known work is the Cambridge Corn Exchange. Biography Richard Reynolds Rowe was born in 1824, the son of Richard Rowe, a Cambridge alderman. He attended school at Eaton-Socon, and then either school or university in Cambridge. In his early career he worked mainly as a civil engineer. His first position was on the Isle of Man, as clerk of works for St Thomas's Church, Douglas (1847). Richard Yates Rowe (December 12, 1888 – March 19, 1973) was an American politician and businessman. Biography Born in Jacksonville, Illinois, Rowe served in the United States Navy during World War I. He received his bachelor's degree from University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. He worked in the insurance and newspaper businesses. Rowe was a Republican. In 1944, Rowe was appointed Illinois Secretary of State to fill a vacancy and then in 1946 was elected Illinois State Treasurer. His son was Harris Rowe who served in the Illinois House of Representatives. Rowe died in Jacksonville, Illinois Jacksonville is a city and the county seat of Morgan County, Illinois, United States. Dick Rowe
Richard Paul Brutton Rowe (9 June 1921 – 6 June 1986) was a British music executive and record producer. He was head of A&R (Singles) at Decca Records from the 1950s to the 1970s, and produced many top-selling records during that period. Known as, "the man with the golden ear," Rowe discovered and signed The Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, Tom Jones, Cat Stevens, The Moody Blues, Procol Harum, The Animals and Engelbert Humperdinck amongst others. Known as being artist friendly and a true music lover he always wanted the best for talent sometimes putting him at odds with upper management. He is historically presented in popular music history as the man who did not sign The Beatles.
