Richard Mercer (radio Host)
Richard Mercer is an Australian radio presenter. Mercer hosted nights on Mix 106.5 from July 1997 until December 2013. His show mostly consisted of the segment 'Love Song Dedications', where listeners would call in to tell Mercer about their love life, and then ask for him to play a song, dedicated to somebody they loved. After Mercer left Mix 106.5, he moved to sister Australian Radio Network station 101.7 WSFM 101.7 WSFM (call sign: 2UUS) is a radio station broadcasting in Sydney, Australia. Its main content is commercial music, in particular classic hits from 1960 to about 2000, but with a stronger focus from 1970 to 1995. The station is part of ... before leaving at the end of 2015. ARN is a group of commercial radio stations around Australia. It includes the Pure Gold, KIIS Network, CADA, ARN Regional and iHeartRadio brands. The company operates the ARN News service in Australia, which uses international correspondents and source news stories from AAP in Australia, CNN from the United States and Sky News and IRN from the United Kingdom. ARN has newsrooms in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane and Adelaide. Originally ARN was a joint venture of Australian media conglomerate APN News & Media and United States radio company iHeartMedia (formerly Clear Channel Communications). On 19 February 2014, it was reported that APN News & Media had agreed to purchase Clear Channel's 50% stake in the ARN.
