Sir Richard Kennedy, 2nd Baronet, of Newtownmountkennedy (c.1615-1685) was an Irish politician, landowner and judge who held the office of Baron of the Court of Exchequer (Ireland). He was the second of the Kennedy baronets, Kennedy Baronets of Newtownmountkennedy. His family gave their names to the village of Newtownmountkennedy in County Wicklow. Richard Regan Kennedy (January 5, 1842 – November 30, 1903) was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly. Biography Kennedy was born in Minersville, Pennsylvania in 1842. He moved to Wisconsin with his parents when he was an infant. During the American Civil War, he was an orderly sergeant with the 27th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry Regiment of the Union Army. Conflicts he took part include the Siege of Vicksburg. After the war, he was involved in zinc mining. Kennedy died of an abscess of the thigh on November 30, 1903 in Racine, Wisconsin. Political career Kennedy was a member of the Assembly during the 1880 and 1883 sessions. The 1962 United States House of Representatives elections was an election for the United States House of Representatives in 1962, which occurred in the middle of President John F. Kennedy's term. As in most midterm elections, Kennedy's Democratic Party lost seats to the opposition Republican Party, but retained a majority. House Democrats were expected to lose their majority, but the resolution over the Cuban Missile Crisis just a few weeks prior led to a rebound in approval for the Democrats under President Kennedy. Richard Joseph Kennedy (born 28 August 1978) is an Irish retired semi-professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He began his career in the youth system at Crystal Palace and made his Football League debut in 1999 while at Brentford. Kennedy won three League of Wales and Welsh Cup doubles with Barry Town between 2001 and 2003 and played in the Champions League with the club.
