Richard Hammond
Richard Mark Hammond (born 19 December 1969) is an English journalist, television presenter, and author. He co-hosted the BBC Two motoring programme ''Top Gear (2002 TV series), Top Gear'' from 2002 until 2015 with Jeremy Clarkson and James May. From 2016 to 2024, the trio presented Amazon Prime Video's ''The Grand Tour''. Hammond has also presented entertainment documentary series ''Brainiac: Science Abuse'' (2003–2008), the game show ''Total Wipeout'' (2009–2012) and nature documentary series ''Planet Earth Live (TV series), Planet Earth Live'' (2012). In 2016, along with Clarkson and May, Hammond launched the automotive social media website DriveTribe, which is a popular motoring channel on Youtube. DriveTribe
DriveTribe is a Social networking service, social networking platform founded as a hub for automotive content and digital socialising. Founded by presenters Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond alongside entrepreneur Ernesto Schmitt, the platform was characterised by its use of themed Tribes to build groups. Launching to the public in late 2016, DriveTribe allowed users to find groups with unique characteristics and personalities that best reflected their motoring interests, whilst being able to create their own tribes. The platform was backed pre-launch by $5.5m from Breyer Capital via Jim Breyer, one of the first Facebook investors, and Atomico, followed by $6.5m from 21st Century Fox. Canadian International AutoShow
The Canadian International AutoShow (CIAS) is Canada's largest auto show. This event has been held in Toronto, Ontario, since 1974 and is staged annually in February at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. It draws an average of 300,000 visitors throughout its showing from Ontario and Western New York. The Canadian International AutoShow exhibits over 1,000 cars, trucks, and SUVs as well as, concept cars, exotics, classics, and alternative energy vehicles. ''Richard Hammond's Crash Course'' is a British reality television series made for BBC America, presented by '' Top Gear'' presenter Richard Hammond. The show's first season premiered on April 16, 2012. Each episode of Season 1 follows Hammond as he is given three days to learn how to operate various pieces of heavy equipment across the United States. Bedale
Bedale ( ), is a market town and civil parish in North Yorkshire, England. Bedale Beck is a tributary of the River Swale, which forms one of the Yorkshire Dales. The dale has a predominant agriculture sector and its related small traditional trades, although tourism is increasingly important. Ripon () is a cathedral city and civil parish in North Yorkshire, England. The city is located at the confluence of two tributaries of the River Ure, the Laver and Skell. ''Planet Earth Live'' was a live-action nature documentary screened on British television. Produced by the BBC Natural History Unit and broadcast in May 2012, the programme was presented by Richard Hammond and Julia Bradbury. Format ''Planet Earth Live'' featured real-time footage of young animals from five continents throughout the month of May.
