Richard H. Hanson
Richard Harold Hanson (November 28, 1931 – January 2, 2023) was an American politician. Hanson was born in Duluth, Minnesota, and graduated from Central High School (Duluth, Minnesota), Central High School in Duluth in 1949. He worked in the office machine business and with the railroad. Hanson served in the Minnesota National Guard from 1950 to 1957. Hanson served in the Minnesota House of Representatives in 1967 and 1968. Central High School (Duluth, Minnesota)
Duluth Central High School, also known as Central High School, was a secondary school located in Duluth, Minnesota, which educated students in grades ten through twelve until seventh and eighth were added after the closing of Washington Junior High School in 1992. It first opened in 1893 in the original building at the intersection of Lake Avenue and Second Street. The building was officially named Historic Old Central High School on October 19, 2004. In 1971, the new Central High School building was built on top of the hill near the intersection of Central Entrance and Pecan Avenue. Minnesota National Guard
The Minnesota National Guard is a state-based military force of more than 13,000 soldiers and airmen, serving in 61 communities across the state. Operated in the U.S. state of Minnesota, it is reserve component of the National Guard. The Constitution of the United States specifically charges the National Guard with dual federal and state missions. The National Guard is the only United States military force empowered to function in a state status. Those functions range from limited actions during non-emergency situations to full scale law enforcement of martial law when local law enforcement officials can no longer maintain civil control.
