Richard Finch (musician)
Richard Raymond Finch (born January 23, 1954) is an American songwriter, producer, and arranger. He is best known as the co-founder, producer and former bass guitar player of KC and the Sunshine Band. Along with Harry Wayne Casey, he co-wrote the majority of the KC and the Sunshine Band music catalog, to include five No. 1 ''Billboard'' Hot 100 hits. Biography Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, the second youngest of five children, Finch moved with his family to Hialeah, Florida, when he was an infant. When Finch was five, his father died unexpectedly, leaving his mother to raise Finch and his four siblings alone. His favorite group growing up was The Beatles. Steve Alaimo
Stephen Charles Alaimo (December 6, 1939 – November 30, 2024) was an American singer who was a teen idol in the early 1960s. He later became a record producer and label owner, but he is perhaps best known for hosting and co-producing Dick Clark's ''Where the Action Is'' in the late 1960s. He had nine singles chart in the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 without once reaching the Top 40 in his career, the most by any artist. Early years and the Redcoats Alaimo was born on December 6, 1939, in Omaha, Nebraska, and moved to Rochester, New York, at the age of five. Chillicothe Correctional Institution
Chillicothe Correction Institution, or CCI, is a state-run medium security prison on the west bank of the Scioto River just outside Chillicothe, Ohio. It is located adjacent to Ross Correctional Institution and Hopewell Culture National Historical Park. The prison is a former military camp, named for Civil War general William Tecumseh Sherman. "Boogie Shoes" is a funk/disco song by KC and the Sunshine Band, which first appeared on their 1975 self-titled album. The song became a hit after it appeared on the ''Saturday Night Fever'' soundtrack in 1977. It was subsequently released as a single and peaked at number 35 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and number 29 on the soul chart in 1978.
