Richard Dashut
Richard Charles Dashut (born September 19, 1951) is an American record producer who produced several Fleetwood Mac albums including '' Rumours'', ''Tusk'', ''Live'', ''Mirage'', ''Tango in the Night'', and ''Time''. Dashut was born in West Hollywood, California, and started his career sweeping floors in a recording studio where he later met Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. Keith Olsen hired Dashut as a maintenance worker at Sound City and later employed him as second engineer on a few albums including ''Buckingham Nicks'', which in turn led to Dashut's work with Fleetwood Mac. Dashut also co-wrote several songs with Lindsey Buckingham and also co-produced two of his albums, which are Law and Order and Out of the Cradle. Second Engineer
A second engineer or first assistant engineer is a licensed member of the engineering department on a merchant vessel. This title is used for the person on a ship responsible for supervising the daily maintenance and operation of the engine department. They report directly to the chief engineer. On a merchant vessel, depending on term usage, "the First" or "the Second" is the marine engineer second in command of the engine department after the ship's chief engineer. Due to the supervisory role this engineer plays, in addition to being responsible for the refrigeration systems, main engines (steam/ gas turbine, diesel), and any other equipment not assigned to the third engineer or fourth engineer(s), he is typically the busiest engineer aboard the ship. Sound City Studios is a recording studio in Los Angeles, California, known as one of the most successful in popular music. The complex opened in 1969 in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles. The facility had previously been a production factory of the English musical instrument manufacturer Vox. Keith Alan Olsen (May 12, 1945 – March 9, 2020) was an American record producer and sound engineer, who worked with Magnum, Rick Springfield, Fleetwood Mac, Ozzy Osbourne, the Grateful Dead, Whitesnake, Pat Benatar, Heart, Santana, Saga, Foreigner, Scorpions, Journey, The Babys, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Joe Walsh, 38 Special, and Eric Burdon & the Animals, among others. Olsen produced over 100 complete albums. His production work earned him more than 39 Gold, 24 Platinum, and 14 Multi-Platinum album certifications.
