Adam Rich (October 12, 1968 – January 7, 2023) was an American actor. He was best known for his portrayal of Nicholas Bradford, the youngest son on the television series ''Eight Is Enough'', which ran for five seasons (1977–1981). Known for his pageboy haircut, Rich's character on the show led him to be known as "America's little brother". Personal life Rich was born on October 12, 1968, the son of Francine and Rob Rich. Sir Henry Rich, 1st Baronet (1803 – 5 November 1869) was a Liberal Party politician in the United Kingdom. He was Member of Parliament for Knaresborough in 1837 and for Richmond between 1846 & 1861 when he accepted the Chiltern Hundreds to make room for Sir Roundell Palmer. He was Lord of the Treasury from July 1846 to March 1852. He was the illegitimate son of Admiral Sir Thomas Rich, 5th Baronet of Sonning (1733–1803), and Elizabeth Burt. Educated at the Royal Military College, Sandhurst, and Trinity College, Cambridge (B.A. in 1825), he served in the British Army and was at the taking of Poonah and the Battle of Kirkee for which he was awarded a medal. Martin Rich (October 8, 1905October 23, 2000) was a German opera and symphonic conductor. Rich played the piano from the age of 5. He studied in Berlin under Franz Schreker. He conducted at venues in Bologna in Italy, and Grant Park, in Illinois as well as the Metropolitan Opera. In 1969, he conducted the Naumburg Orchestral Concerts, in the Naumburg Bandshell, Central Park, in the summer series. From 1970 to 1986 he headed the Philharmonic Symphony of Westchester. From the mid 1980s, he taught private voice lessons at Temple University. Rich was enemies with several notable conductors and musicians.
