Ricardo Yáñez
Ricardo Alex Yáñez Reveco (born September 27, 1966) is a general officer of the Chilean Carabineros. He is the current General Director of the Carabineros, replacing Mario Rozas on November 19, 2020. Biography Ricardo Yáñez was born in San Fernando. He studied at two institutions, the Jorge Muñoz Silva School from first to sixth grade, and at the San Fernando Institute from seventh grade to fourth grade. He entered the Carabineros School in 1985, and entered the Carabineros de Chile on January 1, 1986. On December 16, 1988, he was promoted to Second Lieutenant, a position with which he worked for 30 years at the Viña del Mar. On December 16, 2017, he was promoted to General, and was located in Tarapacá. San Fernando, Chile
San Fernando is the capital of the province of Colchagua, in central Chile, and the second most populated urban center of the O'Higgins Region. Located close to the Tinguiririca River (a tributary of the Rapel) in a fertile valley, San Fernando sits 339 m (1,112 feet) above sea level. Founded in 1742, it became the provincial capital in 1840. Culture San Fernando is famous for its rodeos, thanks to its location at the heart of the country. Carabineros De Chile
The () are the Chilean national law enforcement gendarmerie, who have jurisdiction over the entire national territory of the Republic of Chile. Created in 1927, their mission is to maintain order and enforce the laws of Chile. They reported to the Ministry of National Defense through the Undersecretary of Carabineros until 2011 when the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security gained full control over them. They are in practice separated fully from the three other military branches by department but still are considered part of the armed forces. Mario Alberto Rozas Córdova (born 2 February 1967) is a Chilean Carabineros de Chile, Carabineros officer, who was general director of that institution from December 22, 2018, to November 19, 2020. Biography He was born in the city of Linares, Chile, Linares, capital of the homonymous province in Chile. He is the son of the Major Warrant Officer of the ''Carabineros de Chile,'' Mario Rozas Ortiz. Two of his brothers also belong to the ''Carabineros'', and he is married to Carola Valeska Ahengo Triviño, also a member of the uniformed police, who holds the rank of colonel.
