Ricardo Treviño Chapa, also known as RickyTreCh, is a musician, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He is known for being the bassist of the Mexican rock band PXNDX (Panda). and a founding member of Desierto Drive, Suprema Corte del Norte, and Nadiescucha. Treviño has also co-founded the merchandising company Negro Pasión, which provides official merchandise for Latin American artists. Early life and career Ricardo Treviño was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. He co-founded the rock band Panda (stylized as PXNDX) in 1996 alongside José Madero, Jorge Luis Garza, and Jorge Vázquez, initially playing covers of popular rock songs before transitioning into writing original music. Panda (band)
Panda (commonly stylized as PXNDX) was a Mexican rock band formed in Monterrey, Nuevo León in 1996 as part of the musical movement known as Avanzada Regia. The last line-up consisted of singer José Madero, drummer Jorge Vásquez, lead guitarist/Backup vocals Arturo Arredondo and bassist Ricardo Treviño. The band was founded by singer/guitarist José Madero, guitarist Jorge "Ongi" Garza, bass guitarist Ricardo Treviño and drummer David Castillo whom in 1997 Vásquez replaced. The band went on to produce various demo recordings and landed a deal with independent label Movic Records the following year. The band ended up receiving local attention in 2000 with their debut and second studio albums '' Arroz Con Leche'' (2000) and '' La Revancha Del Príncipe Charro'' (2002). ''Para Ti Con Desprecio'' (Spanish: ''For You, With Disregard'') is the third studio album by Mexican rock band Panda, released on 11 May 2005 through Movic and Warner Records, as the band's major-label debut. Produced by Adrian Treviño, the album marked a major departure from the band's established humorous style. Following its release, the band came under fire from the media and general public due to plagiarism accusations, claiming some of the old and new songs contained lyrics, bass riffs and guitar parts that belonged to songs from other mainstream rock acts such as MxPx, Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, Alkaline Trio, Fall Out Boy and many others, since their debut album. ''Amantes Sunt Amentes'' (Latin for ''Lovers Are Lunatics'') is the fourth studio album by Mexican rock band Panda, released on 2 October 2006, through WEA Latina and Movic Records. To promote the album, three singles were released. The first, " Narcicista Por Excelencia", including its music video, were premiered on Los 10+ Pedidos on MTV. It was notably nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Latin Rock/Alternative Album in 2008. It is the highest-selling album in their catalog to date, and was later certified gold and double platinum by AMPROFON for shipments of over 250,000 copies in Mexico. It also peaked at number one on the Mexican Albums Chart.
