Ricardo Rojas (writer)
Ricardo Rojas (16 September 1882, in Tucumán – 29 July 1957, in Buenos Aires) was an Argentine journalist and writer. He came from one of the most influential families of the Santiago del Estero Province; his father was Absalón Rojas, who was governor of the province. He moved to Buenos Aires to further his education, later becoming rector of the University of Buenos Aires from 1926 to 1930. San Miguel De Tucumán
San Miguel de Tucumán (; usually called simply Tucumán) is the capital and largest city of Tucumán Province, located in northern Argentina from Buenos Aires. It is the fifth-largest city of Argentina after Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Rosario and Mendoza and the most important of the northern region. The Spanish conquistador founded the city in 1565 in the course of an expedition from present-day Peru. Tucumán moved to its present site in 1685. Santiago Del Estero Province
Santiago del Estero (), also known simply as Santiago, is a province in the north of Argentina. Neighboring provinces, clockwise from the north, are Salta, Chaco, Santa Fe, Córdoba, Catamarca and Tucumán. History The indigenous inhabitants of these lands were the Juríes-Tonocotés, Sanavirones and other tribes.
