Ricardo Emídio Ramalho Silva
Ricardo Emídio Ramalho da Silva (born 26 September 1975; ) is a Portuguese retired professional footballer who played as a central defender. He amassed Primeira Liga totals of 264 matches and 16 goals in 15 seasons, representing in the competition Porto, Marítimo, União de Leiria, Vitória de Guimarães, Boavista, Beira-Mar and Vitória de Setúbal. Club career A Boavista F.C. youth graduate who was born in Porto, Silva was bought in 1995 by neighbouring FC Porto, where he would be loaned constantly during his contract, mostly to mid-table clubs in the Primeira Liga, his beginnings being with AD Esposende in the third division. From 1999 to 2002 he was part of Porto's first-team, but his starting XI opportunities were rare; for the 2002–03 season he was loaned for the fifth and last time, to Vitória de Guimarães. The Taça de Portugal (; ) is an annual association football competition and the premier knockout tournament in Portuguese football. For sponsorship reasons, it has been known as Taça de Portugal Generali Tranquilidade since the 2024–25 season. Organised by the Portuguese Football Federation since it was first held in 1938, the competition is open to professional and amateur clubs from the top-four league divisions. Matches are played from August–September to May–June, and the final is traditionally held at the Estádio Nacional in Oeiras, near Lisbon. Sado River
The Sado () is a river in southern Portugal; it is one of the major rivers in the country. Bruno Miguel Leite Basto (born 21 May 1978) is a Portuguese former professional footballer who played as a left-back. After starting out at Benfica, he went on to play in France, the Netherlands and Russia, notably totalling 144 appearances for Bordeaux. Club career Born in Lisbon, Basto was a graduate of hometown S.L. Benfica's youth system, and began playing professionally with its farm team, F.C. Alverca, being recalled for good in January 1998.
