Ribero
Ribero (foaled 1965 in Kentucky) was an American-bred British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. In a career which lasted from September 1967 until May 1969 he ran twelve times and won three races. He is best known for his performances in 1968 when he won two of the most important European races for three-year-olds; the Irish Derby (in which he defeated Sir Ivor), and the St Leger. Background Ribero was a bay horse with no white markings standing 16. hands high. He was bred at the Idle Hour Farm in Paris, Kentucky by Mrs J. G. (Margaret) Rogers. As a yearling he was sent to the Keeneland sales where he was bought for $50,000 by Charles W. Engelhard, Jr. Ribero was a son of the undefeated dual Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner, Ribot out of the mare Libra. Diogo Ribeiro
Diogo Ribeiro (d. 16 August 1533) was a Portuguese cartographer and explorer who worked most of his life in Spain, where he was known as Diego Ribero. He worked on the official maps of the '' Padrón Real'' (or ''Padrón General'') from 1518 to 1532. He also made navigation instruments, including astrolabes and quadrants. Early life Born as Diogo Ribeiro, he was the son of Afonso Ribeiro and Beatriz d’Oliveira. However, there is no known record of the date and place of his birth. He is believed to have become a seaman at an early age and made several voyages to India as a ship pilot. Felipe Ribero Y Lemoine
José Felipe Rivero y Lemoine (30 April 1797 – 8 September 1873) was a Spanish politician, governor, minister and military leader who participated in the Battle of Ayacucho and held important public positions in Spain. He was the last Viceroy of Navarra and the first Spanish governor of the Captaincy General of Santo Domingo since 1801. Lydia Cacho
Lydia María Cacho Ribeiro (born 12 April 1963) is a Mexican journalist, feminist, and human rights activist. Described by Amnesty International as "perhaps Mexico's most famous investigative journalist and women's rights advocate", Cacho's reporting focuses on violence against and sexual abuse of women and children. Her book '' Los Demonios del Edén'' (in English: ''The Demons of Eden'') (2004) created a nationwide scandal by alleging that several prominent businessmen had conspired to protect a pedophilia ring. In 2006, a tape emerged of a conversation between businessman Kamel Nacif Borge and Mario Plutarco Marín Torres, governor of Puebla, in which they conspired to have Cacho beaten and raped for her reporting. Emanuel Maximiliano Ribero (born 22 December 1997) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays for Central Norte. Career Ribero began in the youth system of Newell's Old Boys. He made his professional debut in June 2017, featuring for the final thirteen minutes of a 4–1 home victory over Central Norte in the Copa Argentina. Ribero was selected in the Argentine Primera División for the first time in the following November, with the midfielder playing in a home loss to Belgrano on 17 November.
