Ri Yong-gil
Ri Yong-gil (, born 1955) is a North Korean military officer and the current Minister of Social Security. He is believed to have been in his 60s when appointed to his position as a general in 2013. Ri was made a Lieutenant General in April 2002 and given command of the forward-deployed 3rd Army Corps from 2002 to 2007, and later the 5th Army Corps from 2007 to 2012. He was promoted to Colonel General (Sangjang) and elected an alternate member of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea in 2010. He was promoted to chief of the General Staff Operations Bureau in late 2012, in charge of coordinating KPA corps commanders and reporting to the chief of General Staff and the Supreme Command. The Central Military Commission of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (CMC) () is an organ of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) which is responsible for coordinating the Party organizations within the Korean People's Army (KPA). Ri Myong-su
Ri Myong-su ( ko, 리명수; born on 20 February 1934 in Myongchon, North Hamgyong) is the former chief of General Staff of the Korean People's Army from 2016 to 2018. Ri was a confidant and military aide of the former North Korean leader Kim Jong-il. He was appointed the head of the Ministry of People's Security by Kim Jong-il in April 2011 and served in that role until removed from power by Kim Jong-un in February 2013. Kim Kyok-sik
General Kim Kyok-sik (; 5 October 1938 – 10 May 2015) was a defence minister of North Korea. Biography Kim Kyok-sik was born in 1938. He studied at Kim Il-sung Military Academy before being moved to Syria as North Korea's military attaché in the 1970s, possibly managing support activities for the Eritrean Liberation Front and the Turkish Workers' Party. Pyon In-son ( ko, 변인선, born 1946) is North Korean politician and military officer, colonel general and from March 2012 commander of the 4th Corps of the Korean People's Army. Kim Myong-guk () was a North Korean politician and army general in the Korean People's Army. He was member of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea and served as member of the Supreme People's Assembly, North Korea's unicameral parliament. General Jang Jong-nam (born c. 1960) is the current Minister of Social Security and former defence minister of North Korea. He is believed to be in his 50s. Career Jang is believed to have played a role in the 2010 bombardment of Yeonpyeong, which killed four people. Jang was made colonel general on the occasion of Kim Il-sung's 99th birthday in April 2011.
