Rezwan Munawar
Rezwan Munawar ( ps, رضوان منور, born January 1, 1964) is a List of Pashto-language singers, Pashto folklore singer who started singing in 1985. He is ethnically Pashtun and belongs to the Safi (Pashtun tribe), Safi tribe originally from Mazar valley of Nurgal district, Nurgal district of Kunar Province, Kunar. He was born in Kuz Kunar District, Kuz Kunar district of Nangarhar Province, Nangarhar province in 1964 where he also studied and graduated from Sayed Jamaluddin Afghan High School in 1981. Early life In 1982 Munawar started working as a school teacher in Ahmad Kot Intermediate and then in Tawakal baba Intermediate School of Kuz Kunar district. He served twice in the military as a conscript. During the years of the Taliban in Afghanistan, in 1993 he migrated to Pakistan. Kunar (Pashto: ; Dari: ) is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan, located in the northeastern part of the country. Its capital is Asadabad. Its population is estimated to be 508,224. Sāfī ( ps, ساپی ''Sāpai''; plur. ساپي ''Sāpī'') is a major branch of the greater Ghurghakhti Pashtun tribe. Kuz Kunar ( ps, کوز کونړ, lit. "Lower Kunar") or Khewa ( ps, ښېوه; also spelled Shewa) is a district in the north of Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan, on the Kunar River.
