Reazuddin Ahmad Mashadi
Reazuddin Ahmad Mashadi was a Bengali Muslim writer and philosopher. Early life Mashadi was born in 1859 in Charan, Ratanganj, Tangail District, Bengal Presidency, British Raj. He learned Bengali, English, Sanskrit, and Urdu. Career Mashadi joined an aliya madrasa in Calcutta as the professor of Bengali and Sanskrit in 1886. He published ''Prabandha Kaumudi'' in 1892. He worked at the aliya madrasa for seven years. He was involved in the literary scene in Calcutta and worked with Mearajuddin Ahmad, Muhammad Reazuddin Ahmad, and Sheikh Abdur Rahim. Together they created an Islamic literary scene in Bengal. He published ''Theories of Islam: Volume One'' in 1888 and published volume two in 1889. Mashadi published ''Samaj O Samskarak'' in 1889 and ''Agnikukkut'' in 1890 about the cultural heritage of Muslims with the intention to prevent the conversion of Muslims. Muhammad Reazuddin Ahmad (1861–1933) was a Bengali Muslim writer, journalist, and thinker. Early life Ahmad was born in 1861 in the village of Kaunia in Barisal District, Bengal Presidency, British Raj. His father died when he was eight. He was raised in the home of Muhammad Wajid, the father of Bengali politician A. K. Fazlul Huq. He received his education from Barisal Banga Vidyalay and Bajapti Circle School, studying the Arabic, Bengali, and Persian languages. Career Ahmad started his career as a primary school teacher in Rupsa. Sheikh Reyazuddin Ahmed (Bengali: শেখ রিয়াজউদ্দিন আহমেদ; 1882 – 25 June 1972) was a Bengali author and social worker. Early life Sheikh Reyazuddin Ahmed was born into a Bengali Muslim family of Sheikhs in the village of Dalgram, Kaliganj, Lalmonirhat, Rangpur. His father was Sheikh Zaynullah and his mother was Sheikh Ful Begum. Riaz Uddin Ahmed (30 November 1945 – 25 December 2021) was a Bangladeshi journalist who was the president of the National Press Club. In 1993, he was awarded the Ekushey Padak, the state's second highest civilian honor, for his outstanding contribution to journalism. He was the editor of News Today. Jatiya Press Club () is the professional club for journalists of Bangladesh located in Segunbaghicha, Dhaka. History The Jatiya Press Club was founded in 1954 as the East Pakistan Press Club. It was formed to be run by an elected committee guided by its rules and regulations. The Government of East Pakistan rented out a building at 18, Topkhana Road, Segunbagicha at a monthly rent of Tk 100 to be used as the press club headquarters. The building before 1947 was a residential house of Dhaka University and was once residence to physicist Satyendra Nath Bose. The first life member of the club was N. M.
