Rey Del Ring (2017)
The Rey del Ring (2017) show (Spanish for "King of the Ring") was a major annual ''lucha libre'' event produced and scripted by Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG), and took place on May 14, 2017 in Arena Naucalpan, Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. The main event was the Eponymous IWRG Rey del Ring tournament, the fifteenth annual version of the tournament, IWRG's version of WWE's Royal Rumble, multi-man elimination event. In IWRG the winner of the Rey del Ring tournament also wins the IWRG Rey del Ring Championship, after the previous champion Imposible vacated the championship prior to the match. Imposible outlasted 29 other wrestlers to win the 2017 version of the tournament and the championship. The show included four additional matches. Arena Naucalpan is an indoor sports arena located in Naucalpan de Juárez, Mexico located on Calle JardÃn 19, Naucalpan Centro. The arena is primarily used for professional wrestling, or ''lucha libre'', mainly shows promoted by International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) but has also hosted a number of other promotions since its creation in 1977. AramÃs is a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'' (masked professional wrestler) currently working with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), but also as a freelancer in other Mexican promotions such as International Wrestling Revolution Group, Lucha Memes, and MexaWrestling. José Antonio Rojas (born January 17, 1995) is a Mexican professional wrestler (''luchador'' in Spanish) best known under the ring name Demonio Infernal (Spanish for "Infernal Demon"). He is a second-generation wrestler, son of Guillermo Martinez Cid, best known as Bombero Infernal and the brother of wrestlers Matrix Jr., Muerte Infernal, Capitain Muerte and La Bomberita. Último Vampiro ( Spanish for "Last Vampire") is a wrestling gimmick or character played by at least five people over the years. The character has always started out as an '' enmascarado'', or masked wrestler and only on one occasion has the person playing the Último Vampiro lost his mask. The character is a portrayed as a Vampire and included a mask with stylized bat ears and generally using a black and gray color scheme on the mask and full body suit. The character has primarily been used in International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) and on some locally promoted events. Battle Royal (professional Wrestling)
In professional wrestling, a battle royal (sometimes battle royale; plural battles royal or battle royals) is a multi-competitor match type in which wrestlers are eliminated until one is left and declared the winner. Typical battles royal begin with a number of participants in the ring, who are then eliminated by going over the top rope and having both feet touch the venue floor. In professional wrestling, a heel (also known as a ''rudo'' in ''lucha libre'') is a wrestler who portrays a villain, "bad guy", or "rulebreaker", and acts as an antagonist to the faces, who are the heroic protagonist or "good guy" characters. Not everything a heel wrestler does must be villainous: heels need only to be booed or jeered by the audience to be effective characters, although most truly successful heels embrace other aspects of their devious personalities, such as cheating to win or using foreign objects. A narrative thread, or plot thread (or, more ambiguously, a storyline), refers to particular elements and techniques of writing to center the story in the action or experience of characters rather than to relate a matter in a dry "all-knowing" sort of narration.
