Rex Albert Wilson (born 10 April 1960 in Wanganui, Manawatū-Whanganui) is a retired male long-distance runner from New Zealand, who represented his native country at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. There he finished in 16th place in the men's marathon The marathon is a long-distance foot race with a distance of kilometres ( 26 mi 385 yd), usually run as a road race, but the distance can be covered on trail routes. Whanganui, also spelt Wanganui, is a list of cities in New Zealand, city in the Manawatū-Whanganui region of New Zealand. The city is located on the west coast of the North Island at the mouth of the Whanganui River, New Zealand's longest navigable waterway.
