''Hollyoaks'' is a British television soap opera first broadcast on 23 October 1995. The following is a list of characters that appear in 2024, by order of first appearance. All characters are introduced by the soap's executive producers, Hannah Cheers and Angelo Abela until June 2024 when Abela departed leaving Cheers as sole executive producer. #Kitty Draper, Kitty Draper was introduced in January, followed by #Abe Fielding, Abe Fielding. #Declan Hawthorne, Declan Hawthorne made his debut in February. #Arlo Fielding, Arlo Fielding made his debut in March. #Donny Clark, Donny Clark was introduced in April. #Noah Dexter, Noah Dexter appeared in May, followed by #Martha Blake, Martha Blake and her son #Jeremy Blake, Jeremy Blake. As of 16 September 2024, all episodes and events are set a year later as a time jump aired in that episode. Hollyoaks
''Hollyoaks'' is a British soap opera which originally began airing on Channel 4 on 23 October 1995. It was created by Phil Redmond, who had previously conceived the soap opera ''Brookside (TV series), Brookside''. From 2005 to 2023, episodes have aired on sister channel E4 (TV channel), E4 a day prior to their broadcast on Channel 4. In 2023, ''Hollyoaks'' was removed from Channel 4's early evening schedule, but remains on E4 and Channel 4 (VoD service), Channel 4's on demand service with episodes now uploaded to YouTube. At its inception, the soap was targeted towards an adolescent and young adult audience but it has since broadened its appeal to all age groups. ''Hollyoaks'' has covered various taboo subjects rarely seen on British television, for which it has received List of awards and nominations received by Hollyoaks, numerous awards. ''Metro'' is a British freesheet tabloid newspaper published by DMG Media. The newspaper is distributed from Monday to Friday mornings on public places in areas of England, Wales and Scotland (excluding public holidays and the period between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day inclusive). Copies are also handed out to pedestrians. In 2018, Metro overtook ''The Sun'' to become the most circulated newspaper in the United Kingdom. ''Metro'' is owned by Daily Mail and General Trust plc (DMGT), part of the same media group as the ''Daily Mail'' and ''The Mail on Sunday'', but in some areas ''Metro'' operates as a franchise with a local newspaper publisher, rather than as a wholly owned concern.
