Rewind Forward
''Rewind Forward'' is the fourth EP by English singer-songwriter Ringo Starr, released on CD, cassette, 10" vinyl and digital platforms on 13 October 2023. It includes the song "Feeling the Sunlight", written by Paul McCartney. Composition Starr wrote the EP's title track with engineer and frequent co-writer Bruce Sugar, and stated: "We've been writing a song now for every EP." The opening track on the EP, "Shadows on the Wall", was written by Steve Lukather and Joseph Williams, members of Starr's All-Starr Band and members of the rock band Toto. Paul McCartney, formerly a member of the Beatles alongside Starr, wrote the track "Feeling the Sunlight". The final track on the EP, "Miss Jean", was written by former Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers members Benmont Tench and Mike Campbell, along with Ian Hunter. Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band is a live rock supergroup founded in 1989 with shifting personnel, led by former Beatles drummer and vocalist Ringo Starr. Zither
Zither (; , from the Greek ''cithara'') is a class of stringed instruments. The modern instrument has many strings stretched across a thin, flat body. Zithers are typically played by strumming or plucking the strings with the fingers or a plectrum. Ian Hunter (singer)
Ian Hunter Patterson (born 3 June 1939) is an English singer, songwriter and musician. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Mott the Hoople, from its inception in 1969 to its dissolution in 1974, and at the time of its 2009, 2013, and 2019 reunions. Hunter was a musician and songwriter before joining Mott the Hoople, and continued in this vein after he left the band. Mike Campbell (musician)
Michael Wayne Campbell (born February 1, 1950) is an American guitarist and vocalist. He was a member of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and co-wrote many of the band's hits with Petty, including "Refugee (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers song), Refugee", "Here Comes My Girl", "You Got Lucky", and "Runnin' Down a Dream". Outside of The Heartbreakers, he has worked as a session guitarist and songwriter with a number of other acts, including composing and playing on the Don Henley hits "The Boys of Summer (song), The Boys of Summer" & "The Heart of the Matter (song), The Heart of the Matter" as well as working on most of Stevie Nicks's solo albums. Benjamin Montmorency "Benmont" Tench III (born September 7, 1953) is an American musician and singer, and a founding member of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Early years Tench was born in Gainesville, Florida, the second child of Benjamin Montmorency Tench Jr. and Mary Catherine McInnis Tench. His father was born and raised in the city of Gainesville, and served as a circuit court judge. Tench played piano from an early age. His first recital was at age six.
