Revolutionary Communard Party
The Revolutionary Communard Party ( tr, Devrimci Komünarlar Partisi, DKP) is a left-wing political organisation founded on 4 February 2016, following the merger of the Liberation Movement and the Turkish Revolutionary Party. The DKP is part of the United Freedom Forces and International Freedom Battalion (IFB), participating in the Rojava conflict in the ''de facto'' autonomous DFNS territory. The DKP is banned in Turkey due to its alleged affiliation with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) group. The DKP is allied with the SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) and the Kurdish YPG militia, having fought alongside them during both the Raqqa campaign (2016–2017) against ISIL and Operation Olive Branch against Turkey and the TFSA. Morning Star (British Newspaper)
The ''Morning Star'' is a left-wing British daily newspaper with a focus on social, political and trade union issues. Originally founded in 1930 as the ''Daily Worker'' by the Communist Party of Great Britain (CPGB), ownership was transferred from the CPGB to an independent readers' co-operative in 1945. The paper was then renamed and reinvented as the ''Morning Star'' in 1966. Operation Olive Branch ( tr, Zeytin Dalı Harekâtı) was a cross-border military operation conducted by the Turkish Armed Forces and Syrian National Army (SNA) in the majority-Kurdish Afrin District of northwest Syria, against the People's Protection Units (YPG) of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
